Crystal report grouping

by: tbailey922250

Rating8.8Very Good

I have two table which are linked by an orderno.  The first table only has the orderno listed once for each job it is the job header table.  The second table can have multiple orderno's because of the steps that each job has.  The problem I am having is that I need to get a total from the first table and another total from the second table.  My report works fine until I add the sum of the second table.  Say I have an orderno 123 in the first table listed only once but 123 is listed 5 times in the second table.  So for it multiplies my total for the first table 5 times one for each orderno in the second table.  I am using VB.net and Crystal reports 9.  Sorry if this is so confusing but it is.  I will try to explain more if needed.  I am joining the 2 tables with an inner join using the visual linking in .net.

Thanks
Tim
